Statement on Students with Physical Disabilities

Victoria English School

At Victoria English School, we believe that diversity enhances the learning environment and enriches the experience for all students. We are committed to welcoming students from all backgrounds, including those with physical disabilities. In the past, we have supported students with visual, hearing, and mobility challenges, as well as other physical conditions.

However, we also acknowledge that the age, design, and layout of our facilities may present challenges for students with severe mobility restrictions or those who use wheelchairs. While we strive to accommodate as many students as possible, there may be situations where we are unable to make reasonable adjustments to ensure accessibility to all areas of the school or residential accommodation.

For students with physical impairments, we ask that you contact us in advance so we can assess your individual needs and make the necessary arrangements. It is important that we understand the specific requirements to ensure we can provide an appropriate learning environment.

Additionally, there may be concerns regarding bathroom access and emergency evacuation procedures. We encourage you to consult with us beforehand to ensure that any adjustments can be made to address these areas.

We recommend that you communicate directly with the school Principal for a detailed, case-by-case assessment to determine whether we are able to meet the needs of each student. This way, we can work together to ensure an inclusive and supportive experience for everyone.
